SmartCat is Pioneer Pet's cat range: sisal scratching posts, litter trays and mats, puzzle toy boxes and shallow feeding dishes. The common thread is that each product is designed around a specific piece of cat behaviour rather than around what looks good in a catalogue.
Choosing a scratcher. Two things decide whether a post gets used: height and stability. A cat wants a full-body stretch, and a post that rocks when they pull on it teaches them to go back to the sofa. The Ultimate Heavy-Duty post is the freestanding answer at 8kg; where floor space is the constraint, the wall-mounted Sky Climber and the Over-the-Door climber do the same job with no footprint. If you do not yet know whether your cat scratches upright or flat, Bootsie's Combination post works both ways.
Feeding dishes. The shallow dishes exist because a deep narrow bowl presses on a cat's whiskers, which is why so many cats paw food onto the floor and eat it there. The Tiger Diner goes the other way — obstacles in the base to slow down a cat that bolts its meal and brings it straight back up.
