MSM for horses and dogs is one of the plainest supplements you can put in a feed bin: in-Fusion MSM is methylsulfonylmethane and nothing else, described by EAC Animal Care as an ultra pure bioavailable form of sulphur. Sulphur is used in the body to form connective tissue, including joint cartilage, and in the production of keratin, which is why the same powder is fed for joints and for skin, coat and hoof condition. PeekAPaw stocks four sizes — 125g, 450g, 1kg and 5kg — so a small dog on an eighth of a teaspoon a day and a working horse on 30g a day can each be bought in a pack size that makes sense. A 500kg horse is fed 10 to 30g daily split between meals, while dogs and cats are fed by bodyweight, with a level teaspoon working out at roughly 2g. It stirs straight through feed, with no unnecessary additives in the pack.
