A screw-based, self-ballasted LED plant growth lamp for bioactive and planted terrariums. Two spectra: Deep Forest at 4500K, which Exo Terra describes as simulating tropical forest understorey conditions, and Forest Canopy at 6500K for a brighter, higher canopy look. The wide beam can be pivoted on a base that rotates through 300 degrees, so you can aim it at a particular plant group. It is a plant and visible-light lamp — it provides no UVB and no basking heat.
Two variants, both 8W. They suit orchids, bromeliads, tillandsias, carnivorous plants, mosses and lichen. Exo Terra recommends running one alongside a Reptile UVB100, UVB150 or UVB200 depending on the animal's UV requirement, and the lamp is designed to sit in a Compact Top canopy. For a full-width planted fixture with a controller instead of a single bulb, see the TerraSky Planted LED. More in our Exo Terra collection.
Features
- Two spectra — 4500K Deep Forest for understorey planting, 6500K Forest Canopy for a brighter open-canopy effect.
- Balanced growth wavelengths — blue, green, red and traces of far-red, which is what regulates a healthy growth rate rather than leggy stretching.
- 300 degree rotatable base — aim the beam at a specific planted area without moving the fixture.
- High visible light output — Exo Terra links this to the physiological wellbeing of reptiles, amphibians and invertebrates, not just the plants.
- Self-ballasted screw base — energy efficient and fits a standard socket.
