A full spectrum daylight compact bulb — 6700K with a 98 colour rendering index, so plants and animals look the way they do outdoors. Exo Terra now sells this lamp as the Natural Light; Repti Glo 2.0 is the older name for the same position in the range. Read the limitation carefully: Exo Terra classes this as a daylight and plant lamp, and recommends running it alongside a Reptile UVB100, UVB150 or UVB200. It is not a UVB lamp and it is not a heat lamp — on its own it will not meet a basking species' vitamin D3 or temperature needs.

Two wattages, 13W and 25W, both screw-based and self-ballasted so they fit any standard socket — the Light Dome, the Glow Light or a Compact Top canopy. Pair it with the Reptile UVB100 for tropical species or the UVB150 for desert species. The linear equivalent is the Natural Light T8 tube, and the rest of the range is in our Exo Terra collection.

Features

  • 6700K full spectrum daylight — a general light source suited to every terrarium type, including planted and bioactive setups.
  • 98 CRI — very high colour rendering, so colours in the terrarium are not washed out or shifted.
  • UVA output — Exo Terra states UVA stimulates appetite, activity and breeding behaviour.
  • Supports plant growth — useful over live planting in a paludarium or bioactive terrarium.
  • Self-ballasted screw base — no separate ballast or starter needed.

Specifications

13W and 25W. Colour temperature 6700K, colour rendering index 98. Compact fluorescent, self-ballasted, screw base. Shipping weights 0.10kg (13W) and 0.13kg (25W). Exo Terra recommends replacing compact fluorescent bulbs yearly, as light and UV output falls off well before the bulb fails.
