The top tier of Exo Terra's linear UVB range, built for diurnal desert reptiles with very high UV requirements and for terrariums tall enough that a UVB150 cannot deliver enough UVB down at the basking site. Exo Terra's framing is a very high D3 yield index and enhanced UVB penetration distance. Do not read that as more heat — a fluorescent UVB tube of any grade produces essentially none, so a basking lamp remains part of the setup.
Five sizes, and wattage and length go together: 15W is 45cm, 18W is 60cm, 25W is 75cm, 30W is 90cm and 36W is 120cm. Measure the inside of your existing fixture before ordering — a T8 tube only fits the length it was made for. Most desert setups are well served by the Reptile UVB150 tube, and rainforest species by the UVB100 tube — step up to UVB200 when the animal genuinely needs it or the lamp sits high above the animal. For more output again, the UVB300 T5 VHO bulb and its T5 fixture are the higher-performance route. The screw-in equivalent is the UVB200 compact bulb. More in our Exo Terra collection.
