An apple-shaped chew at 8 x 3cm, sized to hang in the enclosure rather than roll around the floor. Hanging it matters more than it sounds — a chew at head height gets used, and one that ends up under the bedding does not.
Why a chew earns its place
Rabbit and rodent teeth grow continuously, and an animal with nothing to work on finds something — usually skirting boards, cage bars or cable. Giving it a chew it is allowed to destroy is the practical fix, and it deals with the boredom at the same time.
