Two 15cm woven rollers that make a noise when they move, so they work as a push-and-chase toy as well as a chew. That combination suits an animal that is bored rather than hungry — the sound is what brings it back to the toy after the novelty of chewing wears off.
The rattle is also the reason to think about where they go. In a small indoor cage at night they are audible; a rabbit that runs them across a hard floor at 3am is a known outcome.
Why a chew earns its place
Rabbit and rodent teeth grow continuously, and an animal with nothing to work on finds something — usually skirting boards, cage bars or cable. Giving it a chew it is allowed to destroy is the practical fix, and it deals with the boredom at the same time.
