Six small woven carrots — the pack to buy when you want to scatter chews around an enclosure rather than put out one big object. Six also means two animals can each have one without a squabble, which is worth more than it sounds in a guinea pig pair.
They are small, so a large rabbit will go through them fast. For a big chewer, the 14cm and 18cm carrot chews last considerably longer.
Why a chew earns its place
Rabbit and rodent teeth grow continuously, and an animal with nothing to work on finds something — usually skirting boards, cage bars or cable. Giving it a chew it is allowed to destroy is the practical fix, and it deals with the boredom at the same time.
