Nutriment is the supplement you add on top of a fertiliser, not instead of one. It carries a full essential amino acid profile plus B-group vitamins, which feed protein synthesis in plants, invertebrates and fish rather than supplying the nitrogen, phosphorus and potassium plants build tissue from. Its most useful moment is right after a heavy trim, when stems are rebuilding cell walls and the tank is under stress — if your plants are simply nutrient-starved, start with a full NPK fertiliser instead.
Available in 125ml, 250ml, 500ml and 1L. See the rest of the Animal Wellbeing range, or browse all Fish Supplies.
Benefits
- Complete amino acid profile — nine essential amino acids that support protein synthesis in plants, invertebrates and fish.
- B-vitamin complex — B1, B2, B6, B12, biotin and folic acid for energy metabolism.
- Faster recovery after trimming — amino acids strengthen cell walls, which is where regrowth starts.
- Reduces stress — Animal Wellbeing lists stress reduction in aquatic life as a benefit of the amino acid complex.
- Australian made — manufactured in Australia by Animal Wellbeing.
Ingredients
Demineralised water, essential amino acid complex (L-leucine, L-isoleucine, L-valine, L-lysine, L-methionine, L-threonine, L-tryptophan, L-phenylalanine, L-histidine), vitamin B complex (thiamine B1, riboflavin B2, pyridoxine B6, cyanocobalamin B12, biotin, folic acid), natural carbohydrates (glucose, fructose), essential fatty acids (linoleic acid, alpha-linolenic acid), yeast extract, citric acid (preservative).
Directions for Use
Dose straight into the tank. Animal Wellbeing lists 2ml per 100L three to four times weekly for a lightly planted ecosystem, 4ml per 100L four to five times weekly for a medium one, and 3–4ml per 100L six times weekly for a heavily planted one. Increase temporarily after trimming to speed regrowth, and do a 50% water change weekly. Always follow the dose rate printed on the bottle.
Safety
For aquarium use only. Not for human consumption — keep out of reach of children and pets, and seek medical advice immediately if swallowed. Avoid overdosing, keep circulation running while dosing, and watch how the tank responds afterwards.
