Start is a concentrated dose of live nitrifying bacteria — the colony that converts ammonia to nitrite and nitrite to nitrate. Added to a new tank it seeds rock, wood, substrate and filter media so the nitrogen cycle establishes without an ammonia spike; added to an established tank it replaces the colony you wash away with a filter clean. It is a live culture, not a chemical fix: give it 24–48 hours to colonise and keep testing ammonia and nitrite rather than assuming the tank is cycled the moment you dose.

Ingredients
Demineralised water, concentrated nitrifying bacteria strains, natural stabilisers and preservation system, pH buffer compounds.
Directions for Use
Shake gently. New tank: Animal Wellbeing lists one entire bottle for up to 500L of total water volume — check which bottle size the label refers to before you dose. Established tank: 1 capful (10ml) per 100L twice weekly. Redose after water changes or filter cleaning. Allow 24–48 hours for colonisation and monitor ammonia and nitrite through the process.
Safety
For aquarium use only. Not for human consumption — keep out of reach of children and pets, and seek medical advice immediately if swallowed. Store below 25°C out of direct sunlight, keep water circulating during treatment, and use within 2–3 years of opening.
