Pure is the bottle that goes in at every water change. It neutralises chlorine and chloramine, chelates the copper and other heavy metals that come down the mains, and carries live nitrifying and denitrifying cultures that keep working on ammonia after the tap water is safe. Two things worth knowing: Animal Wellbeing says it is not suitable for saltwater aquariums without professional guidance, and overdosing can pull down dissolved oxygen — so measure it and keep aeration running rather than pouring in a generous splash.
Available in 125ml, 250ml, 500ml and 1L. See the rest of the Animal Wellbeing range, or browse all Fish Supplies.
Benefits
- Chlorine and chloramine removal — thiosulphate neutralises both, so treated tap water is safe for fish.
- Heavy metal chelation — disodium EDTA locks up copper and other metals that come through the mains.
- Live bacteria included — nitrifying and denitrifying cultures continue converting ammonia through to free nitrogen.
- Works in 15 minutes — full activation time is a quarter of an hour, so a water change is not an all-day job.
- Australian made — manufactured in Australia by Animal Wellbeing.
Ingredients
Demineralised water, beneficial bacteria cultures (nitrifying and denitrifying strains), thiosulphate, chelating agents (disodium EDTA), carbon sources, natural preservation system, pH buffer compounds, natural stabilisers.
Directions for Use
Standard dose is 1ml per 20L of fresh tap water, added directly to the tank and distributed evenly. Double the dose where chloramine, ammonia or nitrite levels are high. Allow 15 minutes for full activation and test ammonia and nitrite after 24 hours. On a new set-up, dose before introducing fish. Keep aeration running throughout.
Safety
For aquarium use only, and not suitable for saltwater aquariums without professional guidance. Overdosing may deplete dissolved oxygen. Not for human consumption — keep out of reach of children and pets, and seek medical advice immediately if swallowed.
