Skamp comes in one size only, 22cm across, which makes it a simple buy but does mean it is too much toy for a small dog. Think of it as a three-lobed cross between a flyer and a tug handle. Thrown flat it sails a long way; once it lands, the lobes give a dog somewhere obvious to grab, and a lobe at each end works as a handle for two-dog or two-person tug without anyone's fingers ending up near teeth. West Paw rates Skamp for tough chewers, and unlike a fabric flying disc it will not fray or soak up half the dam — it floats. Six colourways are stocked: purple eggplant, jungle green, orange melon, aqua blue, dandelion yellow and hot pink. Buy Skamp if your dog catches in the air. If it prefers to chase something along the ground, a Zisc or a Jive will get more use out of you both.
