Wombaroo Teat STM - Small Marsupial

Teat STM is a latex teat with a short, thin nipple, for small in-pouch kangaroos and wallabies and for possums — the early end of the marsupial range, before a joey has grown into a longer teat.

It fits the Wombaroo Feeding Bottle, or another bottle with a neck of 18–24 mm.

Marsupial teats get longer as the joey grows, so progression to a longer teat matters.

Hole size and feeding a small joey

The teat is supplied unpierced. Use a hot needle through the tip to make a hole about 1 mm in diameter, and check that milk drips slowly from an inverted bottle before feeding. Joeys small enough to struggle with a bottle can be fed from a syringe with the teat pulled over the end, so the plunger controls the flow. Guidance should be obtained from experienced carers on correct feeding technique. Wash, dry and store away from light.
