Wombaroo Teat TM for Large Marsupial

Teat TM is a latex teat with a long, thin nipple, for kangaroos and wallabies that are out of the pouch — the longest of the marsupial nipples, and the one a joey moves up to as it emerges.

It takes an 18–24 mm bottle neck, the Wombaroo Feeding Bottle included.

Marsupial teats get longer as the joey grows, so progression to a longer teat matters.

Preparing the teat and feeding technique

Guidance should be obtained from experienced carers on correct feeding technique, which differs between animals and stages. Teats have no hole as supplied: pierce the tip with a hot needle to about 1 mm in diameter, or cut it with scissors for a larger animal, then check that milk drips slowly from an inverted bottle. Very small animals can be fed from a syringe with the teat pulled over the end. Wash, dry and store away from light.
